Nanocellulose-based Dental Materials
• Dental restorations are performed to give back the tooth its natural shape and function.
• Currently, light-curing composite resins have been the most used in dental clinics. However, unsatisfactory behavior is observed caused by excessive dimensional changes during the process.
• Nanocellulose appears as an alternative compound for the improvement of the mechanical properties of composite resins, due to the characteristics such as thermal stability and mechanical reinforcement.
The present study proposes to evaluate the mechanical properties of the composite after the addition of nanocellulose obtained from different sources.
