• Circular economy (CE) is a closed-loop economic model that aims to combine economic benefits with environmental protection.
• A lack of commonly accepted definition/indicator of CE prohibits advancement.

This project conducts a comparative study among the CE policies and initiatives introduced in China, Europe and Canada to identify a set of indicators that can help countries understand their progress when embarking on a CE plan.
